The Violin and Friends International is an excellent way to make sure that music will always remain a part of the local Maltese culture. The program aims to provide an expandable and professional platform for new and classical new music as well as showcasing its origins and history. It also aims to support up-and-coming musicians by giving them a platform where they can perform to a wide audience of music lovers.

Advanced musical students have the chance to take part in private classes, private lessons, and small chamber ensembles as the festival offers professional teachers/artists to teach and mentor them. This family event enables local and international artists to gain wider recognition for their talents and will help them to develop them. The Master classes take place from June 24th to July 3rd in various locations throughout Malta.

The classes take place in front of audiences, allowing them to hear and see what usually takes place behind closed doors. It lets them see firsthand the different techniques and methods used by various teachers. Students of any age are welcome, but those who are under 14 are advised to attend with a guardian or parent. The members of the faculty come from places such as Russia, Italy, Japan, Austria, Ukraine, Switzerland, Sweden, Latvia, and America.
