Nadur Carnival

 Nadur Carnival 2013 (Il-Karnival tan-Nadur) programme of activities have now been announced. It’s the time of the year when the Nadur Local Council get to organise the annual and most popular village Carnival activities which attracts a larger number of visitors from the Maltese Islands.

When and where is the Nadur Karnival 2013?

The karnival is from 8th February to 12th Feb (evenings) at Nadur, Gozo.

Some people wait for this day while others get to run away from their homes as they detest this time of the year when Gozo will be packed with people, especially in Nadur.

Activities at the 2013 Nadur Karnival

Many activities take place during the 1st weekend of February when Carnival sets in, such activities commence with the Miss Queen Carnival Competition which is being held on February 2 at the MBC Theatre at 7pm.

On Sunday February 3rd, Carnival gets underway at St. Peter & St. Paul Square starting at 12.30pm. The programme consists of a variety of costumes, dances, floats, sketches, floats.

The Children’s Carnival, organised by the Nadur Primary School in Collaboration with Nadur Local Council Event for Nadur Primary School students, will be taking place on February 7th.

The most popular spontaneous Carnival is held between Friday February 8 and Tuesday, February 12th, in December 13th Street and St. Peter & St. Paul Square. This will start after 8.00pm each evening. Unlike the Malta Carnival, this one is is not organized by a committee which makes it more free and spontaneous, basically all kinds of costumes can be found here.

Transport is also organised for those who wish to get to the town, to and from Nadur, which is provided by Arriva.
